Easter 2020 Thoughts

The easiest way to describe Easter is Jesus wins, the end. Why is that? It’s because that’s the truth. Jesus did win. He won against sin and death and the grave. He’s the only one who can say they’ve won. I’m sure the devil was very distraught when he realized that Jesus won. Mary Magdalene was the first to the tomb. She was the first to realize that Jesus was not there and like anyone would’ve been, she was distraught. But then Jesus. Jesus came up to her. She didn’t recognize Him at first, Why is that? Well have you ever been sobbing with your eyes all puffy and hands covering your eyes? Your vision is a little blurry. It wasn’t until she recognized His voice that she realized it was Him. The thing that strikes me most is that Jesus knew that he was going to raise again but He was still scared to die. I heard this the other day but did you know that during passover people get two lambs and one is to sacrifice. They pick the most pure and unblemished one out of the two and let the other one go. Jesus was presented in front of the crowd with Barnabas.some interesting facts are that Barnabas means “son of the Father”. Barnabas was also named Jesus. His name was Jesus Barnabas. Which means there was two Jesus “son of the Father” up there. And they picked the pure and unblemished one to be sacrificed. Jesus was pure. He sinned none. He did no wrong. Yet He still died the sinners death for us. That’s because Jesus and God loves us. They love us so so much. It’s crazy to think how much they love us that they would give up their son and their life for us. Easter is now a holiday with bunnies and candy and eggs and presents. The true meaning of the holiday is Jesus and we can’t forget it. We can’t forget the reason for the holiday. A reason that is very important. Without Jesus, we would be condemned to death. There would be no Heaven. There would be no relationship with God. But because Jesus, there is an opportunity to go to Heaven and we are not condemned to death and we get to have a relationship like no other with God.
