How many times have you heard me cry out
"God please take this"?
How many times have you given me strength to
Just keep breathing?

God, I need you now.

These words should be our prayer. We need God. We need to cry out to Him and tell Him how much we need Him. I don’t know how many times I’ve prayed to God asking for just strength to keep breathing and keep going, to calm down during am anxiety or panic attack, or to just do a mighty and daunting task.
Guys! God is there waiting for us to call out to Him. He is there waiting. He wants us to go to Him. He wants us to call out to Him in this time of trials. According to Romans 5, suffering will produce endurance, endurance will establish character, and character will strengthen hope. That hope is the hope is God. That hope is the only thing that keeps some people going.
Hope is important. To some people the situation going on right now is hopeless. To them there is no hope in the world right now because look at all the people suffering and dying. But there is hope! With God there is always hope. Maybe this is God telling us we need to call out to Him and go to Him. God’s taken away a lot of earthly things. Things like movie theaters, concerts, sports, amusement parks. These things are distractions from God. And now, I don’t know about you but, I have more than enough time to spend with God.
God gives hope. He is where my hope comes from. For years, He has been where my hope comes from. No one or where else. God gives me hope because He saved me. He gives me hope because of who He is. He gives me hope because Jesus.
Jesus knows exactly what we are going through. He knows the fears and anxieties we have. He knows sickness and health. He knows life with trials. He knows life with pain. He knows a life we will never know.
But what gives me hope about that is that Jesus knows. He knows what we are feeling and He knows what we are going through. Knowing I’m not alone gives me hope. Knowing I have Jesus on my side gives me know. Knowing I’m not walking this alone gives me hope.
There’s a lot of things that can be giving hope right now. Things like dolphins coming closer to Italy, birds chirping in Wuhan, the pollution level being down since we started the lockdowns, these things can give hope. I know those give me hope. But those wouldn’t be happening without God doing amazing things through this.
God is working in and through this. He knows what He is doing. He always has and He always will. He will use this for good. I know it.
My prayer right now is God I need you because I know I can’t do this on my own. I know I’m going to struggle through this time. I know its going to be a hard time for people. I know its going to seem like there’s no hope. But that’s why we need God right now. We need God to give us hope.
Hold onto hope and stay strong
