Not Called To Live An Easy Life

We are not called to live an easy life. We are called to live a life according to God and His will for us. Life is probably not going to be the easiest when you follow God. You are going against the world. And it is very hard to go against the world.

I can tell you my life isn’t easy. With dealing with my mental disorders, some days life feels impossible. Some days I feel on top of the world and great and some days I feel like I am drowning. I had surgery in December and I should be healed from that right. Nope I am still healing from it and it is very annoying. I crashed in January and was really struggling and felt like I was drowning and that I would never get out of it.

I knew following Christ was not going to be easy. I knew it would be pretty hard. The older I get, the more I understand this. God doesn’t call us to conform and listen to the world. No we are called to not conform to the world and to listen to God’s word instead.

We are called to go out into the world and preach the Good News. This is going to be hard. You are probably going to be persecuted for it too. Sometimes life it going to royally suck. Sometimes you are going to go through some serious trials that are very hard and tricky.

Following God is not the easy way out. In fact its the hard way. You have to give up everything to follow Christ after you pick up your cross. We need to pick up our cross daily and choose to follow God. Daily! This is a daily choice we need to make.

When we make this daily choice, our life will change.
