Purpose

When I was younger, I would always spend time outside. From the time I got home from school till it got dark and I was called inside. I loved being outside. It gave me what I thought was freedom to do whatever it was I wanted.

The older I got, the less time I wanted to spend outside. Up until last summer, I only went outside to go on walks with a friend. The older I have gotten, the more I enjoy the fresh air and just enjoying God’s creation.

Maybe your like me and you hate being outside. I want to challenge you to try and go outside and get the fresh air and just be in awe of God’s amazing creation.

God made everything for a reason. There is a reason why there is an outside and as children of God we need to cherish these things. I love the sound of rain on the window pane. I am learning to love the sound of thunderstorms. I like the flowers in spring and the leaves in fall.

I’m in awe of the creation that God did. He made everything for a purpose. And that includes you. Maybe you are struggling to find your purpose or your reason. Maybe you think that you don’t have one. But what I’m telling you today is that you have a reason and a purpose.

One of our main purposes as Christians is to spread the word of God. It’s to spread that love of God. It’s to shine light in other people’s darkness. These are really amazing purposes that we have been given because they don’t only help us, but the help others.

Theres always a purpose to what you are going through. Pain sucks. Physical and mental pain. Maybe you are struggling with depression or an eating disorder. Maybe you have a physical impairment that causes pain. Like there’s a purpose for it.

God only would give us something is there was a plan behind it. And guess what? There is a plan behind it. God says He has a plan for us, to prosper us and give hope, not to destroy.

Look that thing that you are going through can help build empathy. Just because you are struggling hard with something now doesn’t mean that you will always struggle. Also that struggle, that struggle is something that someone else is going through. You will be able to help someone else going through the same exact thing as you.

Sometimes the purpose of something isn’t clear and sometimes we have to ask God like what’s the purpose here. But there is a purpose. You have a purpose just like the trees have a purpose. Or the bees.
