Some of My Favorite Essential Oil Blends

Hey y’all! I thought I would do something a little different for my blog post today. Today I am going to be talking about essential oils. A lot of you probably don’t know that I have and use essential oils. I try to use them daily and have gotten a little better lately at diffusing something daily. I thought I would share some of my favorite oils and blends.

One of my new favorite things to diffuse is a blend that smells like apple pie. If you know me, you know I like the smell of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, etc that are in things like spice cake, apple pie, and pumpkin spice flavored things. I have been diffusing this blend of a couple of days now and love it. It smells so good and like I freshly baked something. (My diffuser is in my room so my room and the loft usually smells like whatever I’m diffusing.)

Here is the recipe for this blend:

3 drops Stress Away

2 drops thieves

1 drop lemon.

The great thing about it is that all those oils come in your starter kit if you get the premium starter kit! I got this kit back and march and have loved everything in it. You get 12 different oils and a couple other things like thieves spray, thieves hand sanitizer, and ningzia. I have not tried the thieves spray or ningzia yet but have used everything else last least once.

My next favorite blend to diffuse is lavender and orange. Orange is an uplifting and calming oil. Lavender is good for calming and sleep. I do a couple drops of each in my diffuser. These smell amazing together. In fact my brother who doesn’t generally like the smell of things I diffuse actually likes this blend.

Orange is an oil I try to use every morning. I try to remember to out this oil on before I go to work as it helps me be in a better mood. Orange is great for mood support and getting up at 4 in the morning, you need any help with mood you can get.

Lavender is great for things like sleep and anxiety and just calming in general. I sometimes like to diffuse this before I go to bed to help me sleep better. I am planning on making a spray to spray on things like my pillow before I go to sleep. Because I shut my door at night with Holly in it, I will not diffuse anything when I’m sleeping. While oils are not generally bad for dogs, they can be bad if used in an area where there is not a way for them to leave if the smell is too much and can create a harmful environment.

Another blend that I like to diffuse is pink lemonade. Its valor and lemon. It smells really good. I just do a couple of each in my diffuser and start and soon my room smells like pink lemonade.

I do my oils through Young Living. Young Living has a program called essential rewards. Its a way for you to get a monthly box of oils and products that you pick out. I just signed up for it this month and I am super excited to get my first box. I have smells like grapefruit, eucalyptus, lemongrass, joy, and more orange and lavender coming to me this month. I also got things like a grapefruit lip balm and a face scrub that I have heard is really good.

If you guys like hearing about oils, let me know and I can do more posts about it as I’m learning. If you are looking to start in an oil journey, let me know and either I can try and help or I can direct you to someone who knows more than me!

Hold onto hope and stay strong!!
