Welcome to 2020

Happy New Year everyone! Congratulations, you made it to a new year. This year could have been filled with heartaches for you. You could have lost loved ones, your significant other could have broken up with you, you could have gotten some very bad news, it could be anything. But you made it. You made it through 2019 and are in a brand new year.

This could be your year. Every year we have the ability to make the year how we want in a sense. Ultimately God gets the say on what is going to happen in your life but you do get to make some decisions for yourself. God is a God of choices. We always get a say on what we are going to do, it just may not turn out how we expected it to.

Heartache is inevitable. It's going to happen whether or not you are ready for it. This year could be a really amazing year, or it could be a crummy year. You get to partly decide how that goes. You get a say on your attitude on how you respond to the circumstances that come up. You get to choose how you react to whatever comes your way.

This new year is a fresh start. We get one of those very year. A lot of people set up resolutions that they want to follow through for the year. Sometimes this works, and sometimes it doesn't. It is really easy to get down on yourself because your broke that resolution. It's easy to get down on yourself and think that because you failed, you can't keep going and try again. I am here to tell you that even if you mess up on your resolutions, you c an always try again.

Trying again is always important. Giving up is not the best option. It is easy to think that that is your only option when it comes to messing up on goals or resolutions, but you are always able to modify those goals, make them more achievable, and start them again. Nothing but yourself is holding you back from being able to try again.

I hope you have a happy new year!
